Obama's 'Extraordinary' Economic Recovery Actually 6.5 Million Jobs Below Average

Romney wins Texas, clinches GOP nomination; Texas Congressman soundly rejected, returned to obscurity

Continuing with the meaningless protest vote theme, one person running for President was a congressman from Texas. He has students on college campuses screaming his name, demanding attention, and then claiming that anybody mentioning their demigod candidate does this for attention.

Therefore, he shall only be described as a congressman from Texas.

His supporters blamed his losses on everything from crooked Diebold voting machines to conspiracies involving Zionists, Neocons, and bankers. Now the people who knew him best had their say. Despite representing Texas for three decades, he was rejected by about 89% of the Lone Star State's voters.

This makes Al Gore's 2000 loss in Tennessee look almost respectable.

So with the Texas congressman's supporters finally defeated, they can be left to scream at parking lot attendants rounding up shopping carts. Their next plan is to threaten to ... actually, nobody cares.

The two general election candidates are Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama. The non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates requires that a candidate must have 15 percent of the popular vote to participate in those debates. Unless somebody other than the two major candidates reaches this threshold, America will finally have the anticipated election between two people with vastly contrasting styles.

(The Texas congressman's followers will complain about "Obamney," but at this point such comments are ludicrous that they are reduced to parentheses.)

Europe: The World’s Worst Dentist With the World’s Dullest Drill

If European brinkmanship and American brinkmanship come together,
Katy bar the door. The mother of all meltdowns, a financial event that
would make the Mayan apocalypse (also scheduled for next fall) look
like a high school pep rally, could be upon us much sooner than we
think.

Fwd: Zimmerman affidavit

From: larry.r.trout
Zimmerman affidavit

'In an interview this week with The Miami Herald, Zimmerman's father criticized Corey, who he accused of deliberately ignoring evidence that would corroborate the self defense claim by filing a probable cause affidavit that swore to facts it's unclear they can prove.

"They went with the information they had reasonable belief that was untrue, and they swore it was true. Some day, that will come out," Robert Zimmerman said. "Someone should go to jail over that affidavit. They will be studying it in criminal justice classes for years to come."

Zimmerman is a retired magistrate from Virginia, and part of his job was to review affidavits and determine whether an arrest was merited.

He said he feared that jurors could find Zimmerman guilty of manslaughter to appease the public. He was torn about whether it would be best to have a trial – where all the evidence would be aired out – or have the case dismissed by a judge.

Florida's Stand Your Ground law gives Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester the right to throw out the case if he determines that Zimmerman was in reasonable fear for his life. If he does, Zimmerman said, it would also offer his son immunity in a civil court.'
