Why are normal people pessimistic about the economy, asks expert economist.

Paul Krugman seems like a joke of an economist.  He has always taken the position that any cut in government spending, no matter how high that government spending might be, would be disastrous for the economy.  That brings up the question of how long can we borrow our way to prosperity?
