Years ago, I used to listen to Tucker Carlson and found him reasonable and interesting. However, over time he became increasingly conspiratorial, often making statements that didn't seem accurate to me. For example, he claimed that we were headed toward nuclear war and that American troops would end up fighting in Ukraine. I understand not wanting Americans drawn into a shooting war, but Carlson seemed to assume the worst possible outcome in every situation.
His assertions eventually seemed so far removed from reality that I could no longer stand to listen to him.
Carlson was fired by Fox News after the network paid $785 million to settle a lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems over a conspiracy theory Carlson promoted, claiming that Dominion had rigged the 2020 election against Donald Trump.
There were some alleged irregularities in the 2020 election. However, the evidence is not near strong enough to say that these influenced the outcome.
