This is an interesting discussion about how people perceive successful individuals versus successful groups.
In an ideal world, it would not be a concern that some people are mega-successful. I'm not sure that the government should be involved in trying to correct wealth inequality. The only place that this becomes relevant is in what constitutes a fair tax policy.
There is a widespread perception that some people got wealthy by taking from everybody else. In a free market, this doesn't represent reality. Tim Cook doesn't force you to buy his products. If Apple is rich, it is because people chose to make it rich. However, when the government hands out favors to those who know how to exploit the government's power, then it becomes more complicated.
