Not many people are going to want to watch an hour and 18 minute video that covers the entire Star Wars prequel trilogy along with the Clone Wars animated series which takes place between episodes 2 and 3.
However, the points made here are universal. Democracy dies from within when people lose sight of their values corruption takes over. By the time the Empire rose, the Republic was already long dead, being a Republic in name only. A democracy can become a dictatorship. It can happen anywhere.
Much of the process of how that happened takes place in the Clone Wars animated series.
In this respect, I think that the prequel trilogy is brilliant. It is meant to have parallels with the fall of the Roman Empire, not to mention the rise of dictators like Adolf Hitler.
