Just a casual observation. There is an arrogance among young liberals that they know everything. I tried to talk to one in Salt Lake City about what was going on with me and he rudely told me that he wasn't interested in hearing about my life. This person was never nice to me and was mainly arrogant toward me. I observed a conversation the same person had with another young liberal where he told the person that he was the only one smart enough to have a conversation with, as they talked about what sounded like Marxism.
During the Donald Trump presidency, I became worried about how all the new young voters seemed to be on the far left. One person told me that he was "part of the resistance" as if all the young liberals were maquisards fighting Nazi Germany. Even in the most recent election, I observed many liberals claiming that they were fighting oppression and authoritarianism.
The people really fighting authoritarianism are the freedom-loving conservatives or Libertarians and not those who advocate for increased government power over us. To the left, "freedom" either means more handouts from the government or some form of Socialism. What wouldn't have been possible a dozen years ago, is happening now where people routinely call for the abolition of Capitalism, which is often touted as the only possible solution to Climate Change. How convenient that "Climate Change" gives the extremists everything they want.
The left claims that they want "equity" and even denounce the notion of "equality". The two are different. Equality means that everyone is treated the same with respect to the law and has the same rights. This is how a society should work. Equity means that everyone has the same outcome regardless of status or effort. However, equity is impossible to achieve. It can only be attempted with state control of the economy and never works. People are inherently unequal because they make different choices, have different abilities, and make different levels of effort.
When people believe in some false doctrine, it is almost always because they are following some powerful influencer who is feeding them these ideas. It is rare that they tell you who this is, but if you do find out who the influencer is, that person almost always has some skeletons in his closet or outrageous statements that would discredit him if people knew.

I agree. Our society would do well to keenly observe how Elon Musk runs his companies. He hires the best person he can find for each job. He hires self starters. He hires innovators. He hires team players.
He doesn’t hire the best minority person. He doesn’t hire the best woman. He doesn’t hire the best gay person. He simply hires the best, no exceptions.
In so doing, he has accomplished three “impossible” things: online banking, a successful electric car company from scratch, and a private space program.
Elon was a partner in PayPal. When PayPal was in development most people thought it was ludicrous. The critics said people would never trust their banking needs online.
Critics who complain about Musk borrowing $465,000,000 from the government, fail to point out that he paid the loan off 9 years early. He also paid an early payment penalty. So the government actual made money on the $465M loan. Also, Musk borrowed $1.6B from banks. He secured the loan with 7.4M shares of Tesla stock.
Critics thought trying to start a private space company was impossible. They were happy to point out SpaceX failures at every opportunity. NASA was not happy about SpaceX either. In the end, Musk once again proved all his critics wrong. SpaceX is able to launch military satellites into space 7 times more cheaply than NASA. This clearly shows NASA’s lack of ingenuity, engineering, and efficiency. In my mind this shows clearly the difference in hiring the absolute best (SpaceX) and hiring the best in each category (NASA).
